The Oxford Artisan Distillery (TOAD) is offering shares to the public – starting at £10 – just in time for Christmas. Drinks enthusiasts can now own a slice of Oxford’s first ever distillery and those investing £200 or more will receive rewards including free tours of the distillery and money off its top-notch spirits such as Oxford Dry Gin and Oxford Rye Vodka. Shares will be available to buy until 8th December.
TOAD opened after five years of planning, in July. It is one of only a tiny handful of UK distillers to make its spirits from scratch and is the only one in the world to grow populations of ancient heritage grain in bio-diverse fields close to Oxford. It distils its grain in magnificent bespoke copper stills, inspired by the stories of Jules Verne and made by the engineers who rebuilt the boilers for the famous Flying Scotsman. It is a truly artisan distiller, using sustainable methods and committed to total provenance.
The money raised from shares bought by the public will fund future expansion including a restaurant, bar and visitor centre at the Oxford distillery and will also finance the laying down of cask whiskey made from heritage grain. Top-level investors will also get their very own cask of whiskey!
How’s that for a stocking filler this Christmas?
